DC activeRESISTANCE is AN announcement list for groups promoting events or sharing logistical details that are: 1) promoting justice (whether that be anti-militarism, economic justice, social justice, anti-capitalist, anti-poverty, environmental justice, animal rights, GLBT, anti-racist, anti-sexist, etc.); 2) Organized in a generally non-hierarchical manner; 3) friendly to a diversity of tactics and de-centralized organizing; 4) Events for and relevant to the Washington, DC and metro area activist community. If your announcement broadly meets these criteria, please post your event. If it does not, there are any number of other lists that you can post to. This list is moderated by an open collective of editors. Using DC
To post a message to all the list members, send email to dc@216-55-166-254.dedicated.abac.net. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to DC
Subscribe to DC by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
